For many years, I lived in survival mode—disconnected from my body, pushing through exhaustion and ignoring the signals my body was asking me to hear.
Meals often left me bloated and uncomfortable, no amount of sleep restored my energy, and I struggled with my weight – which deeply impacted how safe and at home I felt in my skin. Despite obsessive adherence to conventional “health” guidance that encourages calorie restriction and excessive exercise, I grew more disconnected from (and at war with) my own body.
Everything changed when I decided I’d no longer tolerate living this way. I realized that to break free of the draining cycle, a radically different approach was needed.
After shifting my focus to holistic nutrition and mindset transformation, I lost 40 pounds in just 4 months and regained my energy (without restricting myself). Three years later, I had lost 65 pounds, healed my gut, overcame anxiety and stopped taking all medications.
As I learned to listen to and work WITH my body rather than fighting my physiology, vitality returned, with very little effort.
When we cultivate the conditions for vitality, and tend to ourselves with loving care, our bodies relax into optimal health.
